Vinyl siding can be repaired using waterproof tape, eg. duct tape. If this is unavailable, a fine alternative is to use a bicycle puncture repair kit, which can be purchased from any biking shop. The use of stitching is not recommended, unless combined with the above techniques when it can add support in high stress fabric areas.

You can install a patch in the siding. There are specific tools that can help you remove a piece of siding with breaking it and allows you to pull it directly out of the nail strip. Once you have the piece out simply replace it.
