Find out what exactly is broken first. A standard copper wire phone should come with microphone, loudspeaker and dial connected with wires. Equipped with a voltage tester, soldering iron and screwdrivers you should be able to find and repair most minor issues after testing wires and conductors. If a major component got a defect you might need to exchange it.

Wire phones are becoming collectibles in todays market and a copper one is very desirable and certainly worth the time and trouble to repair. Use great care to disassemble and catalog all the parts to aid reassembly. A digital camera can be a great asset here. Solder all the broken wires together and reassemble.
