Go to People Search and type in the name of your boss. There may be more than one person with that name; try to narrow your boss name down by his age or location. If more informations is needed, you will have to pay a certain amount of money to get more information, like criminal record, email, telephone number, etc.

Quickest and easiest, just google him. You'll be surprised what will show up. Inquire with your local police, express your concern and ask,criminal offenses are a matter of public record. Go to your local court and ask the clerk to help you. There are websites that can do a medium background check if you're willing to pay a small fee.
