There are two very good online resources which may be able to assist you in your search. The first is FindAGrave and the second Internment. Both of them have massive databases of people's burial information. You may also find what you need at the Later Day Saints' site, called FamilySearch.

You need to determine which cemetary your friend is buried and find the burial records for the commetary to find out where they are buried.

You will need to know the grave site where the person was burried, i do not think there is record anywhere that says where they were burried unless you know the site and you just need to go there and ask the person incharge of graves, they will know better.

If you know what cemetary the person is buried in, the task is simple. Call or visit the cemetary office which will provide a map of plots.
