One expects that things will go as planned our period will stop giving us a warning of the possibility of an impending pregnancy, this is not always the case. It has beens confirmed that some women continue to bleed when in fact they are truly with child. Seek medical attention with heavy bleeding if you think your pregnant.

Any blood during pregnancy isn't good. If you have cramping and you see blood you should go to the Emergency Room as fast as you can. Most of the time blood means miscarriage but in rare cases you can actually have a period while you are pregnant and the baby is fine.

Some light menstruation or spotting is normal in early pregnancy as the placenta grows in the uterus. To make sure the fetus is safe, ask your doctor about any menstruation-like flow.

If you are actually pregnant then you are not having menstral bleeding. You may be experiencing spotting from the embyro implanting in your uterus.

During pregnancy, there are times that bleeding can occur, that can make you think that it is a period. The first time would be at implantation. As the blastocyst (the fertilized egg) burrows into the uterine lining, it can cause some light spotting or bleeding, that could make you think you are getting your period.
