As in cubic yards needed for a project like pouring a floor? It's a simple volume problem. If you're pouring a slab for a building or something, just figure up the area (width times length) you're going to cover, then multiply it by the depth or thickness of the slab. It should come out pretty close.

Measure the length, width and depth of the space to be filled with cement. Multiply these three figures together then find the equivalent in yards. Example: to fill a walk way that is 3 feet by 15 feet by 6 inches deep I need 3 x 15 x. 5 cubic feet = 22. 5 divided by 3 = 7. 5 cubic yards.
