Wear clean clothes. Do not wear clothes with wrinkles in them. Women are not impressed with guys that wear wrinkled dirty clothes that look like they were slept in. Wear socks that match. Polish your dress shoes. Wear a belt. Wear clothes that fit your body type. Too small or too big for your body does not impress.

First off, your hygeine must be impeccable: Both you and the clothing must be clean as can be, fresh-smelling and neat. Next, it depends on your social context, your work, etc. Try looking through catalogs suitable to your lifestyle for ways men put together outfits that appeal to you.

Go to a store like American Eagle or Old Navy. They have some nice shirts and pants and usually have outfits set up to look at. Copy what they have and make sure you clothes are always clean. Girls like a nice look like that. Also I don't think you can go wrong with a nice dress shirt and tie.

You should try to keep up on the latest fashions. Look at the people around you, pick out those who have outfits you think look nice, and emulate them.
