How do you do a CV joint replacement?

You have to remove the axle from the vehicle. You have to remove the cv axle clamp and boot. Then you can get to the joint. Replace the joint, then you can put on a new CV axle boot and clamp and you can re-install the axle in the vehicle.

Remove front wheel off of the vehicle along with the rotor or hub assembly that is on the side in which the cv joint is broken. Next remove anything that is holding the axle in place and reverse the steps to finish the job.
