A Jeep Cherokee immobilizer, or any common automotive immobilizer for that matter, can be disabled by using a specific kind of EM transmitter.

Buy a code scanner, and delete the codes from your PCM.
I bought a $150 Innova 1003 CanOBD2/
Worked like magic.
Saved me the towing fee and $600 service charge the Jeep dealer threatened me with. A kindly automotive locksmith gave me the tip.  add a comment

The only way to disarm the vehicle immobilizer in a Jeep Cherokee is by using the remote keyless entry system. Once it has been armed (after its been received at the dealership), the only other way is to replace both the BCM and the PCM.

The best thing to do is to look on and find the diagram for the immobilizer and it will show you how to disarm it.

In order to disarm your Jeep Cherokee immobilizer you will need to first take apart your dash. Once the dash is apart you can disarm the unit by cutting the wire.
