How do you determine the value of antique dishes?

You can take it to an on the road antique show, they generally price and appraise items like this for free and they tend to be very accurate, and-are credible.

Bring them to an antique store to get them appraised. Since they were found in a basement, clean them first but do NOT use chemicals on them, and do NOT put them in a dishwasher! The antique shop will tell you the value and maybe even want to purchase them.
