Load up itunes and plug your ipod into the computer. When you search the ipod using itunes you should be able to delete album artwork when you get more information about a song.

To delete album art on an ipod you must connect it to the computer and itunes and then use itunes to remove the artwork.

Connect your Ipod to computer using designated USB cord. Open Itunes and select Music > Library > Album tab. Right click the image you wish to remove and select "Get info in drop-down menu. Click Artwork tab > Click image to highlight > Delete > OK.

You will need to have downloaded music files that do not contain album art. This is possible by ripping music off a cd with Windows media player on a computer not connected to the internet -.

If you just want to remove the album artwork from the iPod and not iTunes, go to Preferences, then go to iPod and unselect "copy album artwork to iPod". The next time you sync the iPod, it should delete the album artwork. I have done this myself and it works just fine.
