You would need to get the code from a dealer. In order to do so you need VIn registration ,plenty of prove you own that vehicle.

If the anti-theft has locked you out of your radio (from a battery change, etc) you will have to go to your local dealership's service department to get the code. He will have to call the manufacturer with your VIN code after you prove ownership of the car.

In many instances, your car dealership can help you decode your radio; they generally have access to codes and may have a guide to ease the process. Specialized car stops (or for-hire mechanics) may have additional information on such a complicated process. Too, searching the internet for your radio's brand and the word "decode" may return some helpful results.

If your radio has gone into 'anti-theft' mode your only option is to take it to your local dealership with your title and registration in hand. The dealership will need to take down your VIN number and call a central call center to get set of codes in order to reset the radio.

I've had this happen. If it's the factory radio then hopefully it's somewhere in your owner's manual. If not you will have to contact the car manufacturer, give them the VIN number, and send them proof that it's your car, i.e. copy of registration/title and copy of your driver's license. They will then send you the code for the radio.

To decode your car radio a special software is required. An authorized dealer can help or provide you with catalogs that guide you. Websites on the internet are useful too!

You should first look in the owners hanbook, as most times you will find a card attached to it with your valuable code.If this is not the case then go to your local car dealership and they should be able to order it if you supply vehicle details and personal identification. The code will be ordered from the manufacturer.
