How do you deal with people who consider themselves good listeners when they are not?

You should always be honest with someone and let them know that you feel they are not listening to you. A lot of times, it is very important, what someone has to say. If someone is not listening to you, let them know, maybe they will.

Be straight with them. If you are talking about a topic and know they are not listening call them out on it. Ask them questions about what you told them... and use that as evidence that they weren't listening.
