How do you deal with mother-in-law drama?

Just, don't buy into it. Simply put, mother-in-laws don't want to give up their influence on their sons, as they think they know best. Try to detach from what the woman is saying when she is toxic and don't take it personally.

You shouldn't have to deal with any drama, so whatever you do, make sure you nip it in the butt as soon as possible.
