How do you deal with bad dog behaviors?

Recently my dogs have been exhibiting behavior that I feel is not acceptable, I need some tips on how to reduce this behavior.

Replace the bad behavior with a good one and positively reinforce the good behavior. For example, teach the dog to sit instead of jumping when guests arrive.

Tell them no when you see them doing this bad behavior. Reward them when they are doing what you want them to. If you still cannot get your dog to behave then you can always take them for training. It's best to curb this habit while it's still fresh rather than waiting.

Immediately, and firmly correct your dog as soon as the behavior happens. It is important to be consistent. Don't correct this time and let it slide next time. Use treats.

First, has something changed? Or are they trying to dominate you? Try Dr. Ian Dunbar's book Dog Behavior, an Owner's Guide.
