One kilogram is equal to 2. 20462262 pounds, and one pound is equal to 0. 45359237 kilograms. An easy way to roughly figure conversions is to multiply an amount in kilograms by 2. 2 for the weight in pounds, or to divide a weight in pounds by 2. 2 for the weight in kilograms.

Kilogram to pound conversion requires you to take the number of kg quantity and multiplying it by a factor of 2. 2046 in order to get the equivalent amount in lb units. For the reverse case, you take the number of lb and multiply it by 0. 4536 to get the equivalent number of kg units.

Multiply the weight in kilograms by 2. 2 and the answer will be in pounds. For example, 1. 5 kg is the equivalent of 2. 2*1. 5 = 3. 3 lb. All the answers are in decimal notation and will not be in the format of pounds and ounces. Further conversion is needed for that.
