How do you convert pressures to temperatures?

Typically more information is needed to convert pressures to temperatures, however, frequently the concept of an "ideal gas" is used, in which case the ideal gas law relates pressure to temperature by: PV=nRT where P is pressure, V is volume, n is the number of moles of gas, R is a gas constant, and T is temperature.

By kinetic energy, application of pressure to an item this can excite its molecules which in turn can produce heat.
