How do you clean the carburetor on an Interceptor?

Remove the carb then remove the float bowl. Clean out the bowl then check the float valve and clean if needed. Carefully remove the jets and clean by blowing through then carefully replace them. Remove the slide and check for wear on the slide and needle. Carefully re-assemble and replace the gaskets.

Well to thoroughly clean it, it must be removes and scrubbed out with some time of solvent. That way any deposits can be removed. Otherwise you can run some system cleaning fuel additive to clean it but it won't get as clean.
