How do you clean dark wood floors?

I use a steam mop several times a week on my hard wood floors. I just takes minutes to do and I just use purified tap water. I love the silky smooth feel of the cleaned floors under my bare feet and steam never leaves a sticky film.

I have often heard from the professional installers on new construction job sites that you should not use any cleaning solutions at all. The professional installers ,if i remember correctly, said to only use water and to clean it off the surface by manually drying the floor immediately.
