Please clean each house after each brood has left. Make sure to completely remove everything in house from previous occupants and clean with 10% bleach solution. Let it dry thouroughly before remounting to stop parasites and diseases from spreading.

Take bird house down from it's installed location. If the bird house is made of wood, use a wood polish to clean the wood surface. If it is made of plastic, simply use a damp cloth to remove debris. Be sure to wash any area that the bird may live in, and allow to dry completely.

Clean out the debris in the house like feathers, leaves, bird poop and wipe it out with a damp cloth or sponge, wipe out the inside completely with a bleach and water solution on a paper towel to clean out any mites or bug eggs. Let it dry and reuse.
