How do you choose skis?

I am going skiing for the first time and need to know how to select a pair of snow skis.

The best thing to do is to go to a ski shop and be fitted for skis by a professional. They will pick the best style and size for your skill level, and adjust the boots and bindings to your skill level.

Depends on your style. If you put a lot of stress on skis, get stiff, and vice versa. If you will be turning a lot, look for skis that come to about your mouth or so. A beginner should look for short, flexible skis.

Choosing the ski which is best for you is not an easy thing to do. You should chat with a knowledgable ski fitter and get skis which are around 10 centimeters taller than your height.

When choosing skis, there are many factors to consider: height, weight, gender, experience level, as well as the style of skiing. These include Alpine, Downhill, Cross-country, and Telemark skiing. Due to these many factors, a ski store executive would be the best advisor when purchasing skis for the first time.

well ... from what i know now ... i think that you choose your skis as your height .. if you have for example 1.80 you take 1.80 metres skis
