Since this is going to be your life's work think of what your passion is in life, something that makes you want to get up in the morning and not just a paycheck. When you have that try and incorporate it courses you can use.

The best thing to do as you are trying to narrow down the choices to pick a college major is to make a clear list of all the courses you have most enjoyed. On the opposite side of the page, make a list of your possible career paths. How well do they align?

It may help to start thinking about the school (within the college) to which you want to belong. For example, colleges usually have a school of science, a school of humanities, a school of engineering, etc. Once within a specific school, take classes and find what specific field interests you.

You need to decide on a career path that sounds fun and exciting to you. Your major choice should be something related to that goal. For a general degree that is versatile look into business or marketing. If you want to go into business avoid Arts degrees.
