To check the amount of memory on a windows PC, right click on my computer, click manage, and a new window opens. Go to storage in the rightmost box, then go to disk managment. Then, If you enlarge disk managment, you will see in the bottom each memory "section" and it's details. There you go!

If you're using a Mac OSX 10.5 or higher you go up to the Apple Icon, click "About this Mac" and it will provide you with the processor and memory (ram) information for your system. If you need more detailed information, click on the More Information button and then click on where it says Memory.

One option is to go to My Computer > Properties > System properties, then click on the general tab. It will show the amount of memory on the computer. Another solution is to open up the computer, pull out the RAM modules, and see how large it is.
