It is not easy to check the fluid. You must bring your VW Jetta to the professionals at each recommended maintenace service and have them check and adjust the fluid.

All VW Jettas have a sealed transmission. This means that there is no way to check your fluid levels. More and more companies are doing this because they believe that only trained techs should be working on these type of things. All you can do is have the fluid changed around 80,000 to 100,000 miles

YES, you can check and service your sealed vw tranny without having to go to a dealership. The only problem is you can't do it in 50 words or less. Search vwvortex and there is a link to a .pdf that walks you though it.
