If you are coding HTML add the title tag to the head section of your page. If you want to change the title for your user account do the following: Open Registry Editor and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main Right click and choose New->String. Name the string Window Title and set the value to the title you want.

This involves hacking the Windows system registry. Click the start button, then run, then type in "regedit.exe", without the quotes. Browse to this section: HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Microsoft -> Internet Explorer -> Main Add a string value named "Window Title" to the this key in the registry. Close the registry and open Internet Explorer. You are now done.

The title at the top of the browser is two parts. The first part is display what the web page tells it to in it's coding. The second part that says "Internet Explorer" is controlled by a registry attribute. It's complicated to change but you can look it up online.

You must do this from the desktop. Right click internet explorer. Go under 'properties' and click on its current name, from there you can change it to anything you want.
