How do you change the brakes in a Lumina?

Should I have someone else do it?

First your tires on the rear are chocked. Loosen the lugs nuts on the front set of tires. Put up the front end of the car with your jack. Clean the brakes and caliper thoroughly. Insert new brakes after putting pistons in caliper and caliper in its bracket and rebolt.

It depends on your skill level. If you've never changed brakes before, it might be wise to take it to a shop. However, disc brakes are very easy. Simply jack it up, take off the wheel, take off the caliper, remove the pad from the caliper, keeping the piston compressed. Installation is the reverse of removal.
