Try using the paint bucket, change the mode to "color" and then set the tolerance high. Select the area you want to change and then drop the color in.

It depends on what version of Photoshop you have, if your graphic has layers or is just the image, etc. But for most versions of Photoshop, you can just select what you want to change with either the lasso tool or wand tool and then hit control u.

Well, there are multiple ways you can do this. You can either just get rid of the background completely and replace it with the color you want. Or, You can select the color of the background and go "Replace Color".

There are many ways to change the background color of a graphic in Photoshop. You can use the magic tool to simply select the relevant background you wish to replace. Then you can make the changes. Else, you can use the color replace tool.

The best way for doing this is to create a layer and place it at the bottom of the other layers and putting a square there. You can paint that square with any color you prefer or even use some nice effect to have a more visually atractive background or even use another image for that.

The most basic way to do this is to select the area of the background, either by tracing the outline by hand, or by using the magic wand tool. Then you should adjust the hue and saturation options, usually found under the edit tab at the top.

Assuming that your background is a separate layer then all you have to do is select it and use the paintbucket tool to fill it with whatever color you want.
