How do you change a lower intake manifold?

I have a 1995 Mazda 929.

Before you get to the front manifold, you need to disconnect battery, throttle body, wires,and all connectors on top of engine. Remove all studs bolts and brackets from manifold. Remove old manifold and clean area good. place new gaskets where old one was. Now replace every thing just reverse the directions.

i have never done it on a mazda but u should be able to remove everything,disconnect battery,remove throttlebody,all conectors on top of engine,ground wires.then remove all studs,bolts and brackets from manifold,lift manifold,cleanarea where it was seat new gaskets into place.and replace all parts.

Mazda's from the 1995 model year can be complicated because require a special wrench from Mazda. You can lease the Mazda wrench from some auto parts stores or sometimes the dealer will lease it out. Once you have the Mazda wrench, the intake manifold will easily unscrew. It really is as simple is as tightening another one in place.
