You'll wait a day before washing it. Use hair products designed for permed hair,always use a wide tooth comb, and be sure to CONDITION that hair frequently!

First, do not wash your hair for the first 24 hours. This will ensure that the perm doesn't fall apart or damage your hair.

You should wait 24-48 hours before shampooing your hair. After shampooing and conditioning, apply mousse or styling gel and use a hair pick to comb the hair; do not use a hairbrush. If you blow dry your hair, be sure to use the diffuser attachment.

It is very important not to wash hair until twenty four hours after having a perm. You should use moisturizing shampoos and conditioners and gentle combs and brushes for styling.

Do not get your freshly permed hair wet for at least 48 hours. Try not to blow dry your hair too much, air drying is best for permed hair. Never use a brush on your hair, always comb through with fingers or a wide toothed comb. Keep your hair protected from sunlight.

Hair that has recently been permed should not be washed for at least 24 to 48 hours. It is best to wet the hair down and condition it to maintain its health during this time period. Afterwards, a gentle shampoo and conditioner will work just fine to maintain the curls for a good long while.
