How do you calculate the circumference of a half circle?

I need the formula with instructions on how to solve it.

You first have to measure the radius of the circle,then you can calculate the circumference by the formula pi*r where pi is the constant 3.14 , r is the radis.

This answer only calculates the arc portion of half circle - the circumference (or perimeter) also includes the straight line bottom of the half circle  add a comment

(pi)x(diameter)/2 + diameter. Use the formula for the circumference of a circle which is pi x diameter (where pi = 3.14159) and diameter is the distance across the circle (along the edge of the half circle). Divide this number by 2 (only half circle) and then add the diameter.

Circumference of a half circle would be half of the total circumference plus the diameter, or just half the circumference if you only need the arc length.

[(Pi x D)/2]+ D The circumference of a circle is Pi (3.14) times the diameter(D). Then to get the circumference of a half circle you would need to divide by 2 then add the diameter. The diameter is 2 times the radius.
