Child psychologists begin with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. While pursuing this degree, you may want to volunteer or work with children in order to strengthen your resume. It is also advisable to take child development and psychology classes during this time. After your undergraduate education, you would need an additional 4+ years of education to obtain a doctorate degree.
