How do you accomplish the removal of an adhesive backsplash?

find out what kind of adhesive this is -- if it's a rubberised sort heat will allow the adhesive to become soft enough to pull it loose. It's a gooky, sticky job so use a paper bag or something else between your iron and the glue if you ever intend to use it again on your clothes.

If the adhesive has been on for a long time, you will probably have to use a putty knife to scrape off the old glue.
