They spay chihuahua's the same as any other dog, by surgical removal of all the parts that are involved in the birthing process. This would include the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and uterus. Smaller breeds are recommended to spay as having puppies can be detrimental to their health if complications were to arise.

It is the same process as for any other femal dog. They will make a small midline incision and the proceed to remove the uterus and both overies. They will use disolvable stiches for all of the internal work and then do a 3 layer closer resulting in the final layer of stiches needing to be removed in 10-14 days.

Quite frankly you would have to ask a professional about that many people that are not in that field would not know. So you should go to a local vet in the area to get that kind of info.

You need to ask the vet that question they would be able to tell you what is involved around how they spay a dog. The vet will know that answer.
