SAT scores are not necessarily good indicators of IQ. Much criticism of the SAT focuses on the fact that it tests how well the student takes tests, rather than the student's natural intelligence. Very smart people can be relatively poor test takers.

As far as I know, they don't. It has been proven that IQ tests do not accurately measure intelligence. SAT tests have completely different types of questions than IQ tests, so there is no reason for them to have anything to do with one another. IQ test questions are usually puzzles, and the SAT tests writing, reading comprehension, and mathematics.
