Ovarian cysts do not effect the ability to conceive.Typically cysts that form during pregnancy (1 in 1000) are benign. However, one of the concerns is the cyst could move or rupture during pregnancy; which could prompt a miscarriage or preterm labor. However a doctor's consultation can determine the best action.

Usually, ovarian cysts are no problem and pose no risk for pregnancy. If the cysts are large, they could rupture and the pain that causes by itself could trigger early labor. Painkillers can be used to prevent this, though. There is no risk of infection or hurting the baby otherwise.

Ovarian cysts generally won't hurt a baby. The only risk is to you. Sometimes cysts can burst which can be painful.

Ovarian cysts during pregnancy are somewhat common. A cyst may rupture or torse on itself causing pain for mother and possible miscarriage or preterm labor.
