How do I wire a whole house fan switch?

First you need to have your power wires ran to the location of the switch. At this point you connect your power to the fan on one side of the switch and then connect the power wire going to the fan on the other side of the switch. The neutral and ground wires run straight from the source to fan.

In your fan you will have a black (hot) white (neutral) and a ground. take a 12/2 wire to your switch. In your switch make sure that you have power to it. Hook you whites together and your 2 black wires to the switch. Also hook you ground up.
