How do I turn off the "change oil soon" light on my car?

I have done this before but am not 100% on the procedure. It is listed in the manual if you have that. I think you need to switch the key on an cycle to the oil minder on the computer display. Then you hold the rest button till it resets.

With the engine off, turn the ignition to run. Set dash info to "Oil Life". Pump gas pedal three times.

Once you have changed your oil the light should go off. Turning the light off in another way, might cause computer problems later on.

You will have to change the oil in your car. This light comes on when the oil pressure is low in the engine. Failure to do this may result in damage.

the computer in the car is programed to turn the change oil soon light on after a specific number of miles. If you got the oil changed at a dealership or grage, tell them to fix it because the computer needs to be reset, and you probably need a code reader to do that.

If you take the car into an oil change place Quicklube, Valvoline, etc, they can change the oil in the car, required, and reset the light.
