How do I troubleshoot a power module failure?

Check the specification voltages of the power module, supply voltage and output voltage. use a Digital voltage meter and with the power on test the incoming voltage and the output.

When a power failure happen in a module, First watch the indication in the module like trip indications due to overload,earth fault etc. The indication shows the reason of the power failure, we can check through it. if there is no indication means total supply failure.

Check the fuse if it is there. Check any burned component or any carbon deposited component. Then take an ohm meter and see if any opened component is there.

The best thing to do is to run a test light to all the wires and find out what is hot and a ground.

First of all off your service main from the EB board. The check power module status weather it is working or not. if any problem occurred in the power module then change it and power on the main.
