How do I treat a ferret that has ripped out a claw?

I think you should take them to your local vet and see if it caused any damage and they should tell how to treat that kind of thing when it happens.

Apply gentle pressure to stop the bleeding. In most cases, unless the nail root has been completely ripped out, the nail will grow back by itself within a couple of months. If you are worried about infection, your veternarian can probably prescribe a round of antibiotics.
