begin by talking about other friends who are dating. sound her out on this, ask her what she finds repulsive. make it clear you wouldn't do anything foolish. tell her about your ideal (wo)man. chances are, your mother will join in and give you some very useful advice and tips with regard to dating and men/women.

You can sit your mom down and try to explain to her that you are not a child anymore, and that you are a mature enough person to have a romantic relationship with someone. That and doing some research on how to protect yourself in terms of sexuality might help.

Go to her when you are both calm and bring the subject up. Explain to her that you are getting more mature and that it is what you want. Sweet talk her if you know how to do that.
