I would start by rssearching auto parts on the internet. I would also buy a Hemmings subscription for antique cars. This magazine is a great resource for restoring cars. If one needs panels or metal for the fenders, bumpers or quarter panels, look for parts in junk yards.

When you start a project like this the hardest part is finding where to get parts for the 56 year old truck. Before starting have in mind what you want this to look like. Be patient if it is a complete rebuild ,because it will take a while but is fun.
