Start by removing only one plug at a time by pulling the boot of the spark plug wire. Take out that plug with the proper tool in the tool-kit. Turn the plug counter clockwise. Replace it with a new one turning the spark plug clockwise. Connect the spark plug wire onto the new plug. Repeat for all plugs.

ATVs are a little different than standard size cars. Their transmission houses the spark plugs. You need to raise the ATV off the ground in order to see under neath. Then find the transmission and identify the spark pluds. It comes out in one piece.

You will need to remove the engine cover which the location will vary depending on the ATV type. Once off you will need to remove the plugs using a socket set. Usually 3/8 or 1/2 of an inch depending on the ATV type. Once out replace with new plugs and tighten until tight.

Make sure that the engine is off and that it has had a good amount of time to cool off. After that remove one spark plug wire from the spark plug, and make sure that there is no dirt or anything else around the wire when you change them. Repeat this for every spark plug.

The process is the same as a car except you need an extension to reach the plugs sometimes. Also you may need to remove components to access them.
