Unhook the positive battery terminal before messing with the ignition system. Then, buy a new coil for your particular make and model. Locate the old one, remove it. Then replace it with the new one, reconnecting all wires and mounting bolts. It might be built into the distributor or remote. It's fairly straightforward.

Replacing the ignition coil shouldn't be too complicated. First of all, you will have to remove the spark plug wires from the coil. Next, you must remove whatever bolts hold the coil in place. Applying the new coil is just the inverse of what we have just done.

You might have to take it in to get it fixed. Or you can go get a manual at the auto parts store to fix it. Just tell them the make and model of the car.
