How do I replace a weed wacker spool?

There will be a large hub cover where the string comes from. This is where the spool is. Most covers simply come off by squeezing in the sides as you press down and turn counter-clockwise. Thread line from the new spool through the hole and make sure the spool is properly positioned. Then put back on the cover.

You can take the spool off by unscrewing the spool holder on it. Or you can take it in to have it replaced. Or get a manual on the weed wacker, that should help you out. The manual will tell you what you need to know. Best of luck to you.
