Pop the hood and find the distributor, somewhere on the engine block. Take off the ignition wires and remove the distributor cap, probably with a wrench. Get the first piston into the top slot and brace it there before attempting to attach the new cap. After hand turning the bolts, use the wrench to tighten the part. You're done.

The distributor cap should like a small molded plastic bowl with a small screw in the middle. Follow the wires that come up out of the sparkplugs until they meet at the distributor cap. Loosen the screw until the cap comes off. Put your new distributor cap where the old one was.

Typically this is an easy process. Start by removing the battery cable. Then unhook the electrical connector from the cap. The remove the coil wire along with all of the plug wires labeling them so you can put them back later. Loosen the screws holing the cap on. Then remove the cap and install the new one and reinstall everything.
