How do I repair the heater control valve on my Ford?

Usually the heater control valve is located on the passenger side firewall in the engine bay. Just remove the coolant hoses and vaccuum lines and replace.

It would depend on the Ford that you have but most of them are located on the passenger side behind the glove-box. Depending on clearance you may need to remove part of the dash or the AC compressor under the hood to get at the valve. You can also try jacking it up and getting to it from the bottom.

Usually the heater control value on ford will usually be on the passenger side firewall in the engine bay.You just have to remove it and replace or else seal it.

It is probably not the valve itself that is broken. Usually it is the air hose from the engine compartment to the cabin that has a problem. Make sure all those are in working order (i. e. not disconnected or cut).

This is a very involved fix. You will need to pick up a manual. Remove the entire dash board. You will see the valve near the center of the dash all the way in the back.
