In photoshop, each area of text exist in its own layer. Find the text layer that you want to remove by opening the Layers Panel. The layer name will be the same as the text inside of it. Select the layer and delete it by pressing the delete key or the trash button on the bottom of the layer panel.

If on a seperate layer, simply delete the layer. If not, then you must use a combination of the eraser, clone tool and masking.

Ensure you're in the right layer and that it is unlocked for editing. Then select the text using any of the selection tools and press the delete key.

There is no such special tool in photoshop to remove text from an image. But the text can be marked and cut from the image. Another possible way is to use an eraser and match the back ground color.

If you are using a psd, find the text layer with the text tool. Remove it and your done. However if your are editing a picture then use the clone tool in order to paste parts of the image over the text (this takes some practise)

I should check for layers in Adobe Photoshop. Then I should select the layer that has the text, and should remove it. It should be the way to remove the text using Photoshop.
