Jack the vehicle up remove all wires connected to the transmission,remove the driveshaft, use a transmission jack and jack it up to the transmission unbolt the transmission and then lower the transmission. you may need to remove some support bars that are in the way sometimes. You may need to get a book at the auto parts store and it will tell you everything you need to do to fix it. You just tell them the make and model and year of the car.
