I have found if you put an ice pack on the area treated afterward it takes the redness away, or a soothing lotion helps. You can try tree tea oil you can find that at Walmart. All of these ways work very good and will relieve redness and pain associated with waxing.

If you take a Tums or a Rolaids tablet before waxing, it is supposed to block histamines and help reduce redness. After your waxing treatment, you can hold an ice pack on the area for a few minutes. Tea tree oil can also be used because it reduces inflammation, helps heal the wound, and can ease the pain.

Apply some ice afterwords or cream and that may help, but there really isn't anything else you can do. Redness is just part of the process so do it on a day when you are going to be home or something.

Put ice on the affected area for a few minutes. Rub on some tree oil, & dab witch hazel on the waxed spot. Use lotion that can calm the skin, after waxing, don't take hot showers/baths or go into the beach after you're waxing for some hours as it can hurt the skin.

The best way to reduce redness after waxing is to use an ice pack on the waxed area. Refrain from hot shower for atleast five hours after waxing.

Waxing is a very rough treatment for your legs or anywhere else. After waxing, a good moistening lotion or cream can help. It also helps to have the hair softened a little with warm compresses.

After waxing you should use lotion on the area to keep it from swelling. If you do not use any lotion you might get a red unsightly rash on your body.

You can use lotion when you are done waxing and it will help, at least a little. Other than that as far as I know there really isn't a lot you can do to reduce redness. It just comes with waxing. You might even be able to buy special lotion for waxing.
