How do I pull an engine from a Mitsubishi Eclipse?

I would like to change the engine in my Mitsubishi Eclipse and do not know where to start.

1) Remove radiator 2) Remove battery 3) Remove Wiring 4) If A/C exists, remove the A/C outdoor unit 5) Unbolt the transmission or trans axle 6) Unbolt the engine mount 7) Use pulley to hook and pull the engine out of the engine bay.

Disconnect all harnesses and hoses. All intake tubing and exhaust manifold. Then you will need to find the engine hook mounting points, they look like bolt holes. Mount engine to engine lift. Unbolt front rear and lower engine mounts. You may want to remove the transmission first if you desire.

This is a very involved process that I cannot completely describe here. I suggest doing research online and purchasing a repair manual to help walk you though this process.

You will need the right tools and knowledge. I suggest a reputable mechanic who has experience swapping engines. It shouldn't take long, possible only a day.
